Juan is an Associate at Publica, having joined the practice in 2019. Since then, he has played a key role in developing and delivering a series of applied urban design projects in Westminster for Grosvenor.

His work includes leading public realm strategies, landscape and lighting design, and overseeing improvements across nine locations in East Mayfair and Belgravia – among them Elizabeth Street, Eccleston Yards, and North Audley Street – in close collaboration with Westminster City Council. Through this work, Juan has contributed to shaping the vision and enhancing the public realm of Grosvenor’s historic 300-acre London estate.

Originally from Spain, Juan trained as an architect and urban designer in Valladolid, Madrid, and Ghent, before graduating from ETSAV in 2015. During his Master’s studies, he was awarded a scholarship to research housing typologies and their relationship with the evolving city, focusing on flexibility, transformability, and adaptability in modern dwelling. He later completed his Part III at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.

Prior to joining Publica, Juan worked as an architect at Morris + Company in London and Sauerbruch Hutton in Berlin. His experience spans a broad range of project types and scales, including residential, commercial, healthcare, education, and urban planning.
