Astrid is an Associate at Publica, where she leads large-scale public realm strategies and design projects. Since joining the practice in 2018, she has delivered visions, strategies and design work across London and internationally. 

Most recently, she led the development of the Wood Green Masterplan and Public Realm Framework, supporting the long-term revitalisation of public spaces in the London Borough of Haringey. Her wider experience includes key projects across the City of London, such as the Eastern City Public Realm Vision – a shared strategy for the area’s future – alongside a Cultural Planning Framework and the Culture Mile Greening initiative, working across multiple RIBA stages.

Her previous projects include developing an evidence base, vision and detailed design proposals for Regent Quarter, a Placemaking Strategy for the Baker Street Quarter, and a study of tall buildings and amenity in the City of London, focused on creating a coordinated ground plane and land use strategy.

Astrid completed her RIBA Part III at the Architectural Association and studied architecture at Oxford Brookes University and the Royal College of Art. Before joining Publica, she worked at multi-disciplinary design studio The Decorators and at DSDHA, where she was awarded a two-year Research Fellowship in the Built Environment by the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851.

Astrid is also an Associate Lecturer at Camberwell College of Art, where she leads a design research studio on the BA Interior and Spatial Design course.
