Senior Urban Designer, Gaia Crocella, and Senior Researcher, Daniel Blyth participated in the LUCI Cities & Lighting Summit 2025 in London, co-organised with the City of London. Together with other experts from the urban lighting community, they explored the future of urban lighting and its role in shaping vibrant, inclusive cities.

Conference attendees discovered the City of London through a creative body mapping night walk led by Gaia, reflecting on how the design of public spaces could be reimagined to better support diverse needs and experiences.

Daniel shared his expertise in night time strategy and policy as a panellist at the Barbican event Lighting for all: building safer, more inclusive public spaces after dark - exploring how lighting can contribute to making public spaces safer, more inclusive and accessible for all at night.

He joined a fantastic panel that included Elizabeth Johnston, Executive Director of European Forum for Urban Security; Russell Pengelly, Design Out Crime Officer of City of London Police; and Councillor Imran Alam of Glasgow City Council.
