In the third episode of London Explained, The London Society’s documentary podcast series, Lucy Musgrave and Tess McCann join journalist Dave Hill to tell the story of Marble Arch and the area around it.

For decades, Marble Arch has been marooned on a roundabout at the western end of Oxford Street, severed from the park it once formed an entrance to and disconnected from its regal past. Now, ambitious plans are in place to restore the historic monument.

The episode draws on interviews with key figures behind the proposals‚ including Lucy and Tess, and Simon Loomes of the Portman Estate, and a wealth of archive material.
