Michael Corr

Project Director

Michael Corr is a Project Director and an architect with over ten years’ experience in architecture and urbanism. In his previous role he was Creative Director of the Built Environment Centre for Northern Ireland, advising councils and government departments on strategic projects across the region. 

Previously, Michael was an Associate with East Architecture, a Senior Urban Designer with Design for London at the London Development Agency, a Design Advisor at Harrow Council and Co-founder of the architecture practice Pie. In his previous roles Michael has managed and delivered numerous high street and public realm projects, working with both public and private sector clients. These projects include a number of schemes for The Mayor’s Great Spaces Initiative and the Outer London Fund.

Michael has taught architecture at undergraduate and postgraduate level in architecture schools in the UK, Europe, Australia and India. He is currently a Fellow of the Estonia Academy of Arts in Tallinn and is completing a PhD in Architecture and Urban Planning, as part of ADAPT-r, a European wide research programme. Michael trained at Queens University Belfast, the Mackintosh School of Architecture, the Università della Svizzera Italiana and London Metropolitan University. Michael joined the Publica team in December 2016. He is currently working on public realm study and strategy for a retail district in the West End.
