  • PROJECTS DIRECTOR

    Publica is looking to recruit new Projects Directors at a senior level within the practice to lead teams delivering and developing urban design proposals and strategies for public spaces on high profile sites across London.

    This is a client-facing role that will suit candidates with a strong design background in architecture or landscape architecture, with experience of developing proposals for public spaces, managing teams and working closely with private and public sector clients at a decision-making level. 

    The nature of Publica’s work ranges from in-depth neighbourhood surveys and socio-cultural research to drawing up concept designs for the hard landscaping of streets and spaces, play strategies and planting strategies – as well as setting briefs, giving design recommendations and offering overarching advice on cultural uses, housing renewal and masterplanning to our broad client base in both private and public sectors.

    Potential candidates should have minimum eight years’ industry experience working on delivering public realm schemes and a thorough understanding of our sector. This role will report directly to the Urban Design Director.

  • EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

    Publica is looking for a highly-organised Executive Assistant who will support the company director through management of her diary and communications, and who will play a crucial role in the sales team by providing client intelligence and assisting with the preparation of presentations. The role will require the development of a thorough understanding of Publica’s client base and their needs and the ability to share this information within the team. The successful candidate will also oversee the PA to the project team, who is responsible for the management of the wider office diary and support with daily administrative tasks with the office. The ideal candidate will have previous experience providing administrative support, and will be able to understand and think strategically about complex client and sales conversations. The Executive Assistant will need to be extremely well-organised, proactive and have the highest level of professionalism. This will be a vital role within our practice so the right candidate will also be an excellent communicator, eager to engage with the team and our work.

  • PA TO THE PROJECT TEAM

    Publica is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to the project team who will directly support the Urban Design Director, undertake the wider office diary management and day to day administrative tasks, and provide further support to other projects directors to ensure the smooth running of projects within the office. The successful candidate will work closely with the company director’s Executive Assistant, who manages diaries for the director, and will need to engage with and understand the needs of the projects. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a fast-paced office environment, providing administrative support, and will have excellent multi-tasking skills. The Personal Assistant to the project team will need to be calm, extremely well-organised, proactive and helpful. They will be able to provide excellent professional support, alongside a genuine keenness to get involved with a range of tasks, projects, and people.

  • GRAPHIC DESIGNERS

    Publica is looking for a talented and conscientious Graphic Designer/Graphic Design Assistant who can support our graphic design team in the development of our printed and digital materials.

    This is a creative and varied position within an in-house environment. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working on materials for print; have excellent communication and organisation skills; possess a portfolio that shows an eye for typography and detail; thrive within a supporting role; and an enthusiasm for working collaboratively.

  • SENIOR URBAN DESIGNERS

    The role of a Senior Urban Designer is to manage projects and help support the development of our growing business. Key responsibilities will be to lead a team consisting of Urban Designers and Project Assistants in delivering, planning, designing and writing area surveys, public realm studies, public realm visions and concept designs for sites across London. This is a client-facing role working closely with the Project Directors and other members of the team. Potential candidates should have minimum five years industry experience working on detailing and delivering public realm schemes and a thorough understanding of our sector.

    You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, preparing and delivering public realm strategies, masterplans and concept designs for sites across London and the UK.

  • URBAN DESIGNERS & PROJECT ASSISTANTS

    We are looking for Urban Designer & Project Assistant candidates with a RIBA Part I or II, Masters or equivalent qualification, with all ranges of professional experience. Candidates should have experience in both detailed analytical work and of producing urban design and public realm proposals. Further desirable attributes include excellent drawing, mapping, photography and writing skills.

    You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, preparing and delivering public realm strategies, masterplans and concept designs for sites across London and the UK.

    We wish to appoint an Architect/Landscape Architect who has experience in the analysis of wider scale urban conditions and a thorough technical knowledge of the delivery of public realm schemes. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in designing, detailing and delivering hard landscape and streetscape schemes.
