Queen’s Park Community Council ‘On The Street’ shop open

Publica has helped organise and facilitate a Queen’s Park Community Council pop up shop, ‘On The Street’, at 548 Harrow Road. The shop opens tomorrow and a series of events will take place over the course of a month.

Publica was asked by the Queen’s Park Neighbourhood Council to support the development of a Neighbourhood Plan for the local area. The Council is the first parish council in London and builds on the area’s long history of community involvement. Part of an ongoing project On The Street, part funded by the GLA, is a way to galvanise local interest in the Plan, to gather people’s views and ideas about how to improve the neighbourhood, and bring the community together through themed discussions and events.

Members of the Publica project team will be based at the shop over the course of the month where they will be hosting an Open Studio of the team’s work in Queen’s Park, a series of themed evening workshops and will be on hand to answer any questions the local community may have about the future of the area and the process of developing a Neighbourhood Plan.

This is a Publica Community Interest Company project.
