Is London still the cultural centre of architecture?

Alex Arestis participated in an architecture talk called ‘Dead Centre’, part of Twins Talks - a new series recently launched by Brighton University. The talks "explore difficult alliances, strange bedfellows and new relationships." The aim of the discussions is to "bring together very different people, organisations and ideas to explore differences as well as cultivate common ground."

On 26th January, Alex was “twined” with Piers Taylor of Invisible Studio, Lee Ivett of Baxendale and Kate Goodwin of the Royal Academy to debate whether London is still the cultural centre of architecture or whether London’s financialisation is killing its culture.

Alex defended London’s position as a cultural leader throughout a thought-provoking conversation. For more information click here.
