The Publica team spent a wonderful evening hosted by local cookery school Food at 52 where chefs helped us to prepare a 4-course dinner in their very homely kitchen. We left feeling full, sated and with new culinary skills to show off over Christmas!

Human Scale screening at London Legacy Development Corporation

Yesterday evening Publica were joined by the London Legacy Development Corporation and guests for a screening of The Human Scale at LLDC’s office in Stratford. We supported the UK premiere of The Human Scale, a film about the work and approach of Jan Gehl, at the Open City Docs Fest earlier this year and were delighted to watch this interesting and thought provoking film again. We would like to thank everyone who was involved and attended the screening for an enjoyable evening.

Publica will be attending a reception this evening at the Museum of London to mark the term of office of Michael Cassidy CBE. Michael has been chairman since 2005, steering the museum through an incredible time of transformation. We are looking forward to being able to celebrate this important occasion with everyone attending this evening.

A Dolls- House

This evening we shall be attending the A Dolls’ House auction, held in aid of the charity KIDS. Cathedral Group has invited 20 contemporary architects and designers, in collaboration with artists and other creatives, to design and build a dolls’ house for the 21st Century. Each doll’s house is designed to include at least one feature that would make life easier for a child with a disability. Urban Design London Conference

Anna Mansfield will be presenting Publica’s work at White City to delegates at Urban Design London’s next conference, Making the most of Big Change Places on the 24th October. Anna will be addressing issues of masterplanning, development and public realm with a particular focus on how to successfully communicate an area vision and negotiate for change. RIBA Journal Debate: Blurring the Boundaries

Lucy Musgrave was a panellist at the recent RIBA Journal debate ‘Blurring the Boundaries’ where she spoke alongside architects and urbanists, Clive Dutton, Ivan Harbour, Stephen Hodder and Tony Travers. The speakers addressed the pressing issues of how to manage rapid urban change in our cities, and who should ultimately be responsible for ensuring the delivery of good development.
